- What we do
Home Swede Home are parallel importers of genuine IKEA household products that we hold in stock in Midrand, Johannesburg. We are not officially affiliated to IKEA in anyway and are just huge fans of their products.
- Delivery policy
Subject to availability and receipt of payment, requests will be processed within 2-3 business days and despatched with our courier. Once collected by the courier you will be emailed a waybill number for tracking purposes.
Courier costs on our website are for all major centres serviced by our courier company, for other areas and outlaying areas an additional courier charge may be applicable and you will be charged for it prior to despatch.
IKEA products come flat packed and is delivered by the couriers flat packed. Assembly would be required by the client.
- Export restriction

- Return and Refunds policy
We take great care to ensure the stock availability on our website is correct, in cases of unavailability, Home Swede Home will refund the client in full within 3-5 business days.
Home Swede Home reserves the right to cancel orders for any reason or to cancel the purchase agreement after order confirmation, including (without limitation) where Home Swede Home believes the order to be fraudulent or constitute a mis-use of a promotional or marketing activity or where an error has occurred including but not limited to errors relating to pricing. If we do cancel your order or purchase agreement, we accept no liability for any resulting damages or costs suffered by you, however we will refund the purchase price to you (where it has already been paid).
Products can be returned with 30 days if the packaging has been unopened and not damaged in any way. Transport and courier costs for returns will be for the clients account.
- Customer Privacy policy
Home Swede Home shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, "personal
information" shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). The PAIA may be downloaded from:

- Payment options accepted
Payment may be made via Visa and MasterCard.
- Card acquiring and security
Card transactions will be acquired for Upward Spiral 1209CC via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for all South African
Acquiring Banks. PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no Card details are stored on the
website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.
- Customer details separate from card details
Customer details will be stored by Upward Spiral 1209CC separately from card details which are entered by the client on PayGate’s secure site. For
more detail on PayGate refer to www.paygate.co.za.
- Merchant Outlet country and transaction currency
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction currency is
South African Rand (ZAR).
- Responsibility
Home Swede Home takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website,
customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.
- Country of domicile
This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Home Swede Home chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature.
- Variation
Home Swede Home may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
